When your boss asks where you are going, tell him you are going to a competitor. He may need to walk you out immediately. But company has to pay you before the final day. But I don't recommend you doing this.
記得有人說過，報複是一盤冷了更好吃的菜。So try to leave at the least expected time of your manager. Right now try to use this time to prepare yourself for the move.
On the other hand, try to reflect what you could have done differently in the past. Failure is the best teacher. My old boss always say circle of control and circle of influence. You can only control what is inside your circle of control, only influence what is beyond your circle of control. I guess your thoughts and actions are inside of your circle of control.
