imagine if you have to lead a product team of 10 people but no one reports to you directly. They all have their own line of management and other projects to support. they all ahve their own expertise in their own area. At the end you are the one responsible for the product. How do you make those techies do things your way? frankly I think this is more art than tech or science. more fun too.
