My company is GE, big company. But GE's managers sometimes are very ....

My company's policy is that the person must be actively employed at the time the bonus was paid out.

My main question is can I have a non-Friday as my last day? Must I resign on Monday? Can I tell my manager about my resignation  next Wednesday with the last day with company being a Wednesday two weeks later???
