it's really laughable. You obviously violated the number 1 rule of working with a recruiter. And you didn't correct your mistake when you first time realised it. This is a big lessen to learn.
from your description it seems:
A sumbitted your CV to the company through HR. your CV might not pass the initial screening. the hiring manager did not receive your CV from the HR.
B knows the hiring manager personally. B talked to the hiring manager directly and introduced your CV to the hiring manager. Subsequently the hiring manager requested interviews etc etc. (if your interviews were arranged through the HR, the recruiter A would have been the one contacted).
B could ask the hiring manager or the HR to confirm whether HR passed on your CV to the hiring manager. If the HR didn't pass it on, you may still have a chance.
