Our offer just got accepted by owner for a short sale, the price is very attractive. Although we know the listing price doesn't mean anything and the bank will be the only ruler, we just found this house is actually already under lis pendens which means the foreclosure is already started. Our question: is it still possible to buy this house with clean title? the agent told us we will not be responsible for any liens, debts, mortgages that owner owns, but I think it is almost impossible to get the short sale done before the foreclosure actually happens. By the way, we are in Florida.
