I was trying to talk some sense into her

1. There is no such thing as fairness, or righteousnes in workplace or in the world. As humnan being, we all have preference and make all kinds of mistakes

2. Many people suck in workplace not because they make stupid mistakes, but because they are too smart to compromise.

3. People who are not willing to take eye-front loss, ended up having bigger loss in a long run

4. Think about this: which is more important to her career: good referencse from her boss /colleague, or first author in a paper

5. Remember this: when snake is alive, snake eats ants; when snake is dead, ants eat snake. Time can turn anytime.
