you said you have the above attributes.. that is good.. those are skills that can be utilized everywhere, including mental health field.
mental health work/social work is a noble work.. but it can be very stressful.. facing and dealing with problems /depression/anxiety, all day long.. one has to be very strong and emotionally healhty himself/herself to cope well. And anytime when you are going through personal problem/family problem, those work related stress can add to it.
