Bipolar disorder is manageble, treatable, and once treated, the individual can be very functional and with a unique insight in human mind, and more and more people realize that.

There are many famous psychologist and therapists who suffer mental health issues themselves. It gives them a different perspective and makes them more empathetic to their patients. I can give you many examples of that.
