HR is more prospective than many technical track jobs.  As your experience grows, your job security indeed is much less volatile to the swing of industrial wind, because no matter what services/products a company sells, labor is always the most essential asset. If you are worried about your language capability, then go out and practice it. If you target something more aggressive you can go for a part-time MBA.
