Say to him/her. The place where I'm sitting has quite a bit foot traffic and comes with people's conversation which is distractive to me. I found out a nearby spot. If it is available, can I take that one?

Note:

1. Don't let others choose a spot for you because it may not work out for you either.

2. Be courteous, make sure you check availability first.
