What is the meaning of the reply?

Can you guys help me clarify the meaning of our controller's reply?

(I sent an email to the controller as below to ask if I will be converted to a permanent employee.)

I'm not sure if you're aware but my contract with A COMPANY will end on 5/11/12 and I'm concerned about the next step in my career. I have enjoyed the opportunity to work with you and A COMPANY, and I’m very interested in advancing to a permanent staff member. Can you give me a candid assessment of the likelihood of me being offered a permanent position, so that I have realistic expectations?


My hu*****and and I are planning to purchase a home this year (our apartment lease will also end soon) and, it would be helpful for me to know if you intend to keep me on now. If I am passed on for a permanent position, I will gladly continue to work in my current role, however, it would be important that I resume my job search now, rather than wait until May.Thanks.
