I had phone screen with the hiring manager and he said he would like to bring me to onsite interview soon.
And he asked me a couple questions through the recruiter like how much amount of notice I need to give my current job. I replied I may need two week notice. I guess this is too long for him because he needs to have somebody to fill in this position ASAP and the current person is leaving in the beginning of March.
This morning I sent an email to recruiter say one week notice will be enough. The recruiter wrote back thanks for my updating and then no more news.
In between I found out my former CFO and the Hiring Manager used to work in same company for 14 years. Should I ask my former CFO contact the hiring manager to expedite the process?
