六天五夜遊大薩巴納(2) – 文化

Traditional Churuata

Churuata is the indigeneous style buildings, as shown in the following pictures. It provides the basic shelter for the indigeneous people. Traditionally, it is built with thatched roofs and mud walls or no wall at all.

Hamaca is a sort of net, which is tied to woodpoles, serving as bed.

Several times during the trip, I stopped short of asking "how do the indigineous people make love on such bed"
Even today, I am still puzzled.

Civilized Chuarata

On the way to a diamond town, I found civilized chuaratas. Apparently, these chuaratas are built with modern construction material. 
 







Indigineous business people built chuarata-styled hotels for tourists.
I am kind of a city rat, can not put up with such shabby condition. Therefore, i preferred staying in modern hotels, shown in series (5).
