RMB 400K is really not that much if you consider:
1. housing: both price and condition
2. education: are your kids going to international school, if yes, then you can't afford it; if no, the would your wife and kids complain about it in the long run?
3. next step: local Chinese companies would like to see their money translated into profit immediately, not in 2 years, but now. If you can't do that, then what's your next step?
