LOL, one perfect example of "shen ma dou shi fu yun".
This offer I just got took about 3 weeks from apply position to phone interview, to on-site interiew, to get offer. It's full of "Murphy's Law"...
First, I was late for the HR phone screen because I had another on-site interview that day and then I got lost in the trafic on the way home... so I was about 30 min late.
Second, the day having phone interview with HM, I was trying to record conversation, I do this on every phone interview or phone screen call. But for some reason that day the recorder on my laptop did not want to co-operate, it was making this huge loud noise, the soft-spoken HM asking me wether I have some fax machine running in the room, but I don't. It took me roughly a minute to settle the noise.
Third, I canceled on-site interview at very last minute due to work emergency, so I basically called HM at 7:20Am to cancel the 8Am interview.
But then the nice hiring manager re-scheduled it, that's how I finally got the offer.
