我也來說說Networking

1) Why to network
廣義的說,People who know lots of other people win。幾個原則:It is not “ All about me”.
Provide help first to establish a long term relationship. Come up with creative ways to help
make those in your network successful.
就工作層麵看,最近身邊幾個朋友找到工作, 贏得麵試機會 都是通過network. networking
幫助挖掘hidden job market.
2) What is networking?
Meeting people, building connection, developing relationship, sharing ideas and common interests.
中國人都知道的“關係”。
3) Steps for network
- prepare the Elevator Pitch (30 sec to 90 sec)
- go to professional events, alumni association, sports club, volunteer organization, local church :
share on what have learned, offer business card, illustrate common interest
- Offer to help others FIRST
- Share your connections
- Follow-up: email or call within 7 days, suggest getting together for a coffee/lunch
- Expand network: connect with the connector, share your contacts
