he didnot want you anymore. Do not think that he worried that you are smarter than him. That is not the reason. When he said "u r right again", you should think more. In your new position, if you are still a postdoc, think really hard what that sentence means. If you can figure it out, you will have a good chance to be a boss; otherwise, your chance to become a PI is low.
No comments whether you should help him or not. If you can figure out y he let you leave, you will know what to do.
