Urgent help!

I just started a contract position, and received a permanent job offer today (I had interview with this company before, but they are really slow in the interview process. I thought I did not have any chance with them). I really like this permanent position - good company, good team, good benefits. Can I quit the contract position and go for this permanent offer? Does anyone have similar experience?
