About several years ago I worked at a big hi-tech company. My Indian manager promoted me which was totally out of expectation when he needed me. Next moment he put me on the performance plan when he thought he doesn't need me any more. This happens so fast and it was very stressul and I felt emotionally hurt. And at that time I was weak and didn't know how to fight back. So I just quietly took the package and leave. I am a much stronger person who know how to protect myself now. However, there is a arkawrd situation. My old company was brought by another big company. And a friend wants to refer me to this new company. I am interested in going back but I don't know if the new company still have the HR records from my old company. Will they find out that I was being put on performance plan and take package to leave? Will they reject me in this case? Can someone who might know about the internal HR process/policy please give me some information?
