cause is right. Working from home had been my dream before, it was me who chose to work from home. My boss'd prefer the other way but he doesn't really care because he and other team members are in different places. When I debated another offer that would pay me double but with 45min commute, I've choosen this one.
Yet after I started to work from home, it is not as attractive as I thought. :) Yes, my time is more flexible now but when there is work I still work extra hours. Partly due to my personality that is too much a perfectionist. Partly due to the shadow of my former manager who expected the unrealistic.
As for the pay, you're right to the point, especially for me who has worked for the same company for 11 years. The more important thing is the not feeling of "success". But it takes a lot of courage to step out for something new, I guess.
