salary expectations?

I jsut got an email from my former boss-they are hiring. He asked my salary expectations and I don't know what to tell him.My current salary is low-not much increase from my salary when working with him before. I doni't feel I should lie to him but I want to beef up my salary on the other hand. What should I do?

Thanks and happy holidays!
