I think my boss is a real eagle

he knows a lot and is quick at learning. political savvy, knows how to use different people's skills and how to make his boss feel good without doing the disgusting ass-kissing stuff. works hard too (harder than I am at least). he can be critical but people listen to what he says. I ahve a lot of respect for him and know he will fly high in the corporate.

my former boss is also an eagle unfortunately can't fly. She is a genius and works extremely hard. we are talking about 10-12 hours everyday here. but she doesn't know how to curb her emotion and tend to show off her intellegence by critisizing others. She does ass-kissing every now and then. but that did not get her any where.

I learned a lot from both of them. I think the key is to have your own accomplishment. If my former boss had something solid in hand, being critical may be tolerable especially if the criticism is burried underneath layers of sugar.
