How do people care less? what is the tip?

I know this is my problem, i.e. care too much. but I can't control myself to care less. I tried, hard to care less. but by the end it is just pretense. I can fool others to the point they believe. but I can't fool myself. and when there is a crack, the frustration came out freely. in my mind, this is even worse.
