had a big fight with my friend at work

I was extremely mad because he went behind my back to settle something with all sr. managers. This happens too many times and this time, I got mad and pointed it to him that he should address the issue at an upcoming meeting instead of preempting the decision-makers. He said it was how things were done here, which got me really mad. I like to play games fair and square. Apparently people tend to go behind the scene. Frankly, he was worried that he does not ahve much to do next year and needs to grab sth quickly while next year planning is on-going. I can understand that. but his proposal is based on very limited view and will cost company more money than necessary. can't believe the decision makers are also that short-sighted.
