this is what I can say:
It is not my first job but I have never had so much trouble before mostly because I can ususally build up OK relationship with my bosses and they push for things I want. This one originally was OK too. But over the years things change. Because of the reporting structure, I have high exposure to top level and can't get along with my skip level manager. because of this terrible relationship with big boss, my boss is now powerless in helping me getting what I want.
have to say my boss is quite good to his employees. He is very sensitive to our feelings. He is doing everything he can to make me happy. For example, today a project i pushed for more than a year was granted funding because of boss' push and management's charity. They don't give me promotion so they give me more work. Is that going to keep me happy or make me cry? anyway, I am looking ways out.
