我多講幾句。The purpose of networking within a firm is to promote yourself or to create opportunities for future assignment/advancement. social activities within an organization provides a platform for networking. If you only stay at the level of social activities,there will be few benefits from networking point of view for you to be recognized for your job capabilities. Networking is to exhibit your performance, to increase your exposure, and finally to improve your image.

You can ask for half hour of 1:1 to start networking yourself.
