in Portland, OR. Detailed job description as follow:

Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager needed to lead the New Product Development Group of a semiconduct capital equipment company. Department is focused on the design, test, and implementation of new products in semiconductor thin film deposition and associated processes. Will lead the group to deliver innovative new products with high quality, reliability and focus on customer satisfaction and commitment. Interface with business development, product marketing as well as senior and executive management to make strategic decisions on new product development initiatives and projects. Communicate and coordinate with cross functional departments including electrical engineering, automation and software development to drive projects and initiatives to completion. Work with manufacturing and supply chain management departments to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer on time and within budget. Responsible for managing department and project budgets, evaluating risks and maintaining commitments and project deliverables. Ideal candidate will have a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering management. Must have a proven track record in managing the new product development function in high tech capital equipment. Experience in the semiconductor capital equipment industry highly desired.
