this kinda thing is hard to say as individual background, job history and other factors are unique. fairness is always subjective. i'd recommend not to compare horizontally, but vertically - you can ask yourself if you feel you are happy with the paycheck comparing with those among your friends in the same age group.
you can ask for a raise at evaluation time of the year but have to be in a way not to irritate your manager - you can use personal reasons but never say "i saw the payroll list and all others are higher than me" (this way you are implying that your manager has been treating you unfairly, or in a discriminating manner".
if you are really unhappy with the payment, probably changing the job is the only way to get a salary jump.
how is your marketability?
