聯邦稅報學費，該多交州稅嗎？

我在聯邦２００８年的 １０４０ 報了＄２４００ 的學費，這幾天收到州裏來信。MD 州說我 claimed a deduction for tuition and fees on federal return, 他們給我弄了個 addition modification in Maryland Return, 連稅加利息要補交二百幾十塊。

有誰碰到過這種事？謝謝。
