“Good place to start, great benefits, but not a long term option for a work life balance” 0 of 0 people found this helpful
Pros

PTO benefits are excellent, better than most companies in this field. However, this includes sick time. There are opportunities to grow and learn but these activities must be completed on your own time, even the mandatory sessions. The graduate program is a great way to meet new people and make contacts.
Cons

Support from management in the difficult times is hard to come by and you hardly ever get a straight answer. Rotations are encouraged by some department heads and not by others, which makes it difficult to develop your engineering experience. Projects are generally stressful, and staffing is rushed with less than competent people for the job. It takes the client to recognize these failures and get people off the job. The feedback available is not helpful or constructive, but very vague, and the reviews process is just for show.
Advice to Senior Management

A more effective review process would really improve the functionality and effectiveness of this company. Staffing people based solely on their resumes and not their personality or leadership skills allows lazy people to sit around while others do their work for them. Team building activities should not be limited to a yearly picnic and Christmas party. I recognize that it's difficult to bring such a large company together, but small gestures of community would help build the morale of your employees. There's a limit to how much people will do for money.
