Just say something frankly

OK. you want a promotion. you think you are ready, you think you deserve it, but what does your boss think?

From what i read, you dont really have good releationship with either your boss or business people.

Hi, can I tell you something? (I am not a sucessful person, so dont get mad) it's all about releationship. You want a raise, you want promotion, you have to work on the relationship. Nothing just comes given. I know you work a lot and very hard in your area, but, really, that just takes 20-30% in your career path. All the rest is about relationship.

You have to make your boss happy. Otherwise, even though you get the promotion, it wont be easy to manage if your boss is not in favor of you.

Sounds ugly, but tha's the reality
