I had a woman superviser before

she is somewhat emotional every now and then, almost bi-polar. but in general she is fine and fair. and we become very good friends working together and keep close contact even after I left that company. I think women are more detail-oriented so you may need to be preped for this. Also, female bosses sometimes are not aggressive enough to get benefits for their employees, just like they do not know how to fight for their own welfair. this could be a problem for people who are very ambitious. but they are very protective of their employees. So there are pros and cons.

all reports have some issues with their superviser. in this case, they attribute those to "female" issue. I would take a grain of salt of they say. you will be fine.
