to work in USA. For most of us, we don't when we first come to USA. So the university needs to apply for H1-B, which is a work permit for you.

Some small colleges or teaching colleges may not have experience of helping foreigners to get H1-B, so they usually don't hire foreigners.

So your focus is to get a position and ask whether they can sponsor your H1B. 沒有美國學曆及工作經曆是不難得到faculty的職位. Grant and pubs are the keys.
