I always talk to my manager and talk in the meeting (those meeting including many IT 大牛 from the world): You do not have to trust me, even my self do not trust me, however, we all have to trust the DATA (of course this means the good DATA, not the junk data.)
WhenI report the result, I do not say: I think the performance is good/bad.
Instead, I say: The data shown that the performance is good/bad.
I trust the data I get (in the reasonable way at this moment.)
I saw many people lose job because they do not have the good habit of trust data, instead, they trust some people say something by their guessing...
