Access,SQL Server, Oracle,MySQL數據庫

最近發現數據庫方麵的招聘除了ORACLE就是MySQL.

-- Following Databases are widely used on the market:
Oracle, SQL Server, Db2, Sybase, MySQL, Teradata, PostgrySQL, Netezza, etc...

不知老土和各位職場的高手對MySQL的發展趨勢看法如何，是否值得努力鑽研MySQL然後找這方麵的工作呢？
-- Google search is using MySQL;
-- Many small companies are using MySQL;
-- On the other hand, many companies are using Oracle and SQL Server;
-- As long as you somebody want to hire you, it doesn't matter which database you know.
-- Oracle will purchase Sunm who is the owner of MySQL. Therefore, eventually, MySQL will be Oracle.
-- If you are Oracle DBA, it is not hard at all to handle SQL Server and MySQL;
-- If you are a Database Analyst, you need focus on write good SQL, regardless what kind of DBMS used in the company.
-- Conclusin: Yes, learn it if you have time. Ignore it if you are busy and already have a good paycheck monthly. If you are looking for ob now, satrt from Access 2007, then SQL Server 2008, then Oracle. You wll find a job quickly.
-- I have two students do interview today for Database Anakyst positions, I wish them good luck!
