The contents of the raw data file AMOUNT:

The following SAS program is submitted:

data test;
infile'amount';
input @1 salary 6.;
run;

what's wrong with the program above?
i think there should be a error existing, so there is a missing numeric value for salary. correct?

then how can we read the number 1234 correctly?
