It's ok as long as you are able to learn on the job

We have some employees on the same boat. Not much experience with database but they learned fast and performed really well. It's really your attitude that carries you along.

I did not know much difference between any databases right after school. But I learned and got a good job. Don't get scared off.

Start with books and even online tutorials. There are tons out there that are free and you can practice and check answers.
