i do not know you,and have no idea what you do. but logically, i think you're tackling a wrong problem.

-- ask yourself, why aren't you getting such options now? if this assumption is wrong, you can just open your eyes for outside opportunities instead of keeping your eyes inside. if this assumption is valid, and the problem is you're lacking certain experiences like the Shanghai position can offer, you should know what to do.
"50% off" is misleading your mind, as a hint.
