I thought my troubles for this year are finally over. Then this came up.
I was laid-off early last month. a new position was created for myself and another woman to compete. Finally I got the offer. (Now I got her presentation from my boss. WEll, I really knocked her out of the ball park. She was not even in the same league). Thought everything is over. But lately, I overheard that she complained to HR that my presentation got help from other people in the group. particularly, one friend of mine who was in the hiring committee helped me. This was discussed during the hiring process. I was told by my boss that this was viewed as a positive behavior, i.e. they wanted to have people who knows how to seek opinion from different people and build a best product upon the advice.
My question is what I can do to protect myself against any possible issues.
