短期做contract 之後還能領unemployment insurance 嗎

我現在是laid off所以可以領unemployment insurance.如果去做了幾個月的contract,我的unemployment insurance 還能領嗎？需要contract 的公司出具什麽document嗎？要是能continue claim unemployment insurance的話，是按什麽工資領呢，previous permanant job 還是the most recent contracting hourly rate?
