I live in ROC now and lived in Chicago 2 years ago.

ROC is a pretty small city to raise family and people here are very friendly at least in the suburb I am living in now.
The weather here is not too bad, the winter is long and cold. But compared to Chicago, it is not any colder. It snows a lot due to the lake effect, but snow plowing here is stellar.
I definitely choose ROC over Chicago. My own experience.
Are you moving to ROC soon?
