I know. It does not sound good. But it is true.
If you live at a place where there are a lots of alternatives, then you should pamper up your resume and go for it. I don't know how is your communication skills, but we all know interpersonal and communication skills are big. So take that into consideration. If you are at a job where you are in demand from others and you don't have to communicate a lots to others (assuming communication is not your strong suite), then you may want to stay.
Are you going to have more kids? Can your wife find a job if you have to move? A lots of time, more money does not mean more happiness due to like commute, school and etc.
If you can find a job that pays you 25% more and better off for your entire family, then go for it. Otherwise, I would stay giving current economy.
Just my $1 worth opinion. (value more than 2 cents)
