In our group, all of our data processing and analysis is done in the context of a UNIX environment, using vendor software and open source tools.
Responsibilities for this position include all aspects of NexGen sequence analysis; this consists of the actual sequencing instruments, data transfer pipelines, analysis pipelines and downstream analysis.

We are always looking for new ideas, methodologies and technologies that help us deal with the interesting problems we face on a daily basis.
Required: Master's degree in Computer Science or Biological Sciences.
Requirements:
*UNIX enthusiast
*Solid knowledge of UNIX/Linux at the user/programmer level.
*Deep understanding of Computer Science & Software Engineering Principals
*Expert knowledge in at least one scripting language (Preferably Ruby)
*Comfortable working in a team and switching frequently between tasks.
Preferred:
*High-performance Cluster Computing Experience (LSF a plus)
*Distributed programming
*C/C++, Perl
*System administration experience
*Computational Genomics or Bioinformatics experience
