The real power structure of a company is often different from what's captured on the org chart. Capable and effective people are often much more powerful than their peers, and sometimes than their boss. Employees should observe the real power structure and avoid challenging it.

From your description, it is very clear that A is your boss. The org chart lies in two ways. First, it does not give A a bigger title. Second, it did not show that you report to A. But, why do you want to force the issue to revise the org chart and show that you report to A? Can't you tell that the correct org chart is somewhat embarrassing to the Treasurer? There are reasons why we need deceiving org charts. Or, they give A a bigger title, say, Deputy Treasurer, and make you report to her. Are you happier? Why?

Be careful with your own ego. Don't be deceived by the deceiving org chart:)
