This is what I did

When my kids were young, I went to work really early like 6:30am, and got back home 2:30pm. My kids never went to after school care. Now, my old one goes to high school, and younger one goes to middle school. They both take school buses, and no longer need me to send or pick up them. I start working at 8:30am now.

I really enjoy to have the ability to balance my career and my family. I took off every summer, enjoyed vacations with my kids.

And I am waiting to take the children's tuition assistant benefit. Only three years to go......

I had a chance to work at home for other university, but I did not take it. I do not think I will like to stay at home doing my job. I am working from home one day a week now, but I can't do much that day. For me, working at home is not efficient, and I enjoy social life I have at my work place.
