幫朋友請教去留問題----急！請好心朋友指教

朋友是國內學光學物理博士日本東京大學博士後。博士後畢業在日本工作了幾年，現在美國一大學基礎物理做研究工作剛一年。

現在他在回國和留美之間猶豫。現與國內的院校已聯係好工作，但又留戀美國。留美國的問題是現在這份工作不能永遠幹下去，過幾年還需要重新找工作。他擔心兩個問題：

1.光學物理這方麵專業就業是否有難度。過幾年再找工作他年齡大些會不會是問題。
2.以此專業，申請綠卡的可能性有多大。
