You should cover youself

by writing an e-mail or some kind of report to state your opinion about this product, verbal communication will not cover you up when the product fails in the feild. without proof that you are against to release this product, I can see you will be the scapegoat for the failure, and you may even lost your job.

If this product is safety related, you have to stand up, otherwise, you will be even get in trouble with law.
