The position is a contract assignment at a national marketing firm located in the Norwalk CT area. The position is for a Consumer Insights/Research professional and description is as follows:
The position is responsible for helping to provide strategic direction for marketing planning, targeting, segmentation and creative content based on consumer insights, as well as to measure the impact of the agency’s marketing activity after the fact. As such, this individual’s role within the agency is to generate and interpret a wide range of information, including syndicated and custom data from clients.
This individual will work primarily with our direct marketing and digital marketing teams for clients in the corporate office as well as several regional offices.
Specific Responsibilities:
§ Work with client teams to understand objectives and recommend appropriate research and/or measurement approach.
§ Design and manage primary marketing research projects (primarily but not exclusively quantitative), including questionnaire development and methodological recommendations
§ Measure the impact of marketing activity
§ Perform statistical analysis on primary research data if necessary
§ Create research findings and associated marketing recommendations
Requirements:
1---5+ years of market research experience within a marketing services agency, market research supplier or within a client organization
2--Experience accessing, manipulating and analyzing Nielsen and/or IRI syndicated data to measure the success of promotional and relationship marketing programs--in-store, online, via email, etc.
3---Experience using SPSS or other analytical software and applying simple modeling techniques to measure marketing program impact.
4---Exposure to a range of categories, ideally to include packaged goods and pharmaceuticals
5----Must have a collaborative spirit and a good sense of humor
