Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller
Description
The role will firstly work in Hong Kong for 0.5-1 year, then in Shanghai

ACCOUNTABILITIES
Manage day-to-day accounting activities
-Oversee day-to-day accounting processes and systems, ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of financial information;
-Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries, and balance sheet analysis.
Regular financial reporting
-Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports;
-Respond to ad hoc requests for financial information;
-Assist with the budget and forecast process.
Management of internal controls
-Assist with the maintenance and improvement of the internal control environment;
-Ensure that daily management activities are conducted in compliance with internal and external control requirements;
-Ensure that statutory accounts are properly maintained and reconciled.
People Management
-Provide direct supervision to support staff and general direction to professional specialists;
-Provide staff leadership to ensure employee motivation and development.

Qualifications
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Personal Attributes/Interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure independently;
Good people management skills;
Good analytical / problem solving skills;
Good team player with positive working attitude;
Good communication / interpersonal skills and language fluency in both English and Mandarin.

Technical/Specialist skills/competencies
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Hyperion and Oracle;
Sound financial knowledge and understanding of IFRS /Chinese /US GAAP;
Practical experience in financial accounting and reporting.
University Degree in Accounting or Finance;
Qualified CPA / ACCA will be preferred;
5-7 years working experience in finance function of consulting industry will be a plus.
