Good boss, bad boss; good employee, bad employee

Good boss manages work, bad boss manages attendance, the best boss manages motivation (heart).
Good employee put in work, bad employee put in time, and the best employee put in his/her heart.
Bad boss tends to create bad employee: managing attendance too much will detroy motivation.
Bad employee tends to create bad boss: 5 minutes tardiness may become 10 minutes, 15 minutes and have to be managed.
It sounds like your company has a bad management culture (generally means that bad managers at the top). So it is understandable that you want to leave. However, you don't want yourself to become a bad employee because of this culture. You'll need to motivate yourself while you are looking for a better place. How about challenging yourself to develop a good relationship with your boss? If you can do that, you'll have skills that will help you for the rest of your life!!
